Wild Sage Farm & Learning House offers Teacher Workday Camps throughout the school year, giving children a place to spend their day off doing what children do best: playing, exploring, creating, imagining, and getting wonderfully messy.

A Day at Wild Sage
Wild Sage Farm is a place where children are encouraged to explore, follow their curiosity, and enjoy the freedom of childhood.
Our campers have five beautiful acres to explore, including wooded spaces, a creek, gardens, farm animals, mud kitchens, outdoor play areas, and cozy spaces for building, creating, and imagining. Our Montessori classrooms provide another inviting space filled with beautiful hands-on materials, books, art supplies, games, and creative activities.
There is plenty to do—but there is also plenty of time to simply play.
On any given camp day, you might find children building a fort in the woods, splashing through the creek, creating art, caring for an animal, making something from natural materials, digging in the mud, playing an imaginative game with friends, working with Montessori materials, or sitting under a tree with a good book.
Activities are largely child-directed and teacher-supported. Our teachers are nearby to encourage, help, join in, introduce new ideas, and make sure everyone has a safe and wonderful day.
We'll also offer optional teacher-led activities throughout the day. These may include nature art, cooking and baking, gardening, animal care, seasonal projects, science and nature exploration, group games, creek adventures, and plenty of opportunities to create.
We don't believe a day off from school needs to feel like another day of school.
We want children to have time to get deeply involved in their play, use their imaginations, make new friends, explore the natural world, and decide what interests them.
A little Montessori independence. A lot of nature. And plenty of good old-fashioned childhood.
Camp Details
Ages: Children ages 3–8
Hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Snacks & Lunch: Please pack a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack.
Water Bottle: Please send a filled, labeled water bottle.
Extra Clothes: Send a complete change of clothes. Between the creek, mud, art, and outdoor adventures, there's a very good chance they'll need them!
Outdoor Gear: Please dress children appropriately for the weather. We spend a lot of our day outside. Rain doesn't automatically send us indoors, and cooler weather doesn't scare us!
Shoes: Comfortable shoes appropriate for running, climbing, creek exploring, and getting dirty are a must.
Quiet Time: Children who enjoy a little downtime are welcome to bring a favorite book.
Please label your child's belongings.

Our Teacher Workday Camps aren't about keeping children entertained every minute of the day.
They're about giving children the space, time, materials, nature, and freedom to create their own adventures—with caring teachers nearby to help those adventures grow.
Expect dirt. Expect mud. Expect tired kids. Expect good stories on the ride home.
