Angelica Lopez

I am a certified Montessori educator with more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education.

I currently live in Chapel Hill with my wonderful husband, who is incredibly helpful around the farm, our two amazing children, and our dog Willow.

While living in Florida, I had the privilege of co-running the Montessori School of North Miami, a school founded by my mother, Evelyn Lopez. That experience deepened my love for child-led learning and strengthened my belief that every child is naturally capable of learning when education is nurtured rather than pushed.

One of the biggest reasons for moving from Miami was my deep belief in the importance of children spending meaningful time outdoors. Nature has always been at the heart of the way I envision learning. This passion led me to open Wild Sage Farm and Learning House — a place where education and the natural world come together in a meaningful and inspiring way.

I have a true love for blending nature with learning, while also embracing the artistic and creative beauty of Waldorf-inspired education. I believe that time spent gardening, caring for farm animals, and exploring the outdoors is truly priceless, offering children rich opportunities to grow, discover, and learn in ways that last a lifetime.

Susan Tello

Susan is a treasured part of our Wild Sage Learning House family and also joins us from Miami, Florida.

Her connection to our school began many years ago when her daughter attended our school in Miami from the age of 3 through 5th grade. Through those years, Susan became a beloved part of our school community not only as a parent, but also as an educator, working with us for more than 20 years.

Susan brings a wealth of experience, warmth, and dedication to our learning environment, and we are so grateful to have her continue this journey with us at Wild Sage. She shares her love of language and culture as our Spanish teacher, helping children learn in a joyful, natural, and meaningful way.

Her long history with our school family, combined with her nurturing presence and years of expertise, makes her an invaluable part of the Wild Sage community.
